The Runners-up for Greatest Salsa Music Albums of All Time

This is my shortlist of Albums which didn't quite make top spot. They still do pack some great material, though!

	Jerry Galante	Sin Reservas	Great groovy Colombian Salsa, with medium danceability.
	Yuri Buenaventura	Herencia Africana buy album	I believe this was Yuri's first album and it set the stage for what was to come. Wonderful music by a great musician.
	Oscar d'Leon	En Nueva York buy album	This Venezuelan Salsa Star has been around for a long time and has produced lots of great Salsa. I like this one the best.
	DLG	Gotcha! buy album	DLG's brand of Nueva Salsa was a huge hit when they first appeared. Mostly punchy, upbeat material, I think it's lost a bit of it's shine over the years.
	Maraca	Tremenda Rumba buy album	Killer dance tracks.
	Los Van Van	Llego... buy album	This Cuban band's been around for ages, producing mostly mediocre material. They landed a big hit with song "Te pone la cabeza mala". This album is a follow up to that success. Cuban Salsa at it's best.
	La India	Sola buy album	Another wow album with great songs and India's soaring voice. Low danceability.
	Manolito y su trabuco	Se rompieron los termometros	Yeah, some great dance grooves. His all-time smash dance hit, "Marcando la Distancia", is not here but on the album of the same name.
	Tito Rojas	Alegrias y Penas buy album	Tito has produced quite a few hits in his time, and this album is no different. His hoarse voice carries his group's sizzling Salsa very nicely.
	Frankie Negron	Lo Que Llevo por Dentro buy album	Though Frankie's Romantica style doesn't always suit my taste, he has put out some very good material. I like this album the best.
	Johnny Polanco	Pa'l Bailador buy album	A gorgeous album, great for dancing.
	La Banda Gorda	Aqui, pero alla buy album	If you switch to Merengue for a change, it's got to be super-fast. Banda Gorda excel at this, and this album's truly hot.
